The Brief

The Laundry business in Lagos is permeated with so many laundromats. Laundryman needed to create a  brand identity that distinguished them from the rest of their contemporaries and to give their brand a new feel. They also needed to create a website where customers both new and existing can easily get their laundry order picked up, cleaned and delivered.

Laundryman needed to create a  brand identity that distinguished them from the rest of their contemporaries and to give their brand a new feel. They also needed to create a website where customers both new and existing can easily get their laundry order picked up, cleaned and delivered.

Our Solution

To create a logo for Laundryman we examined all the contents and elements that illustrate or identify with laundering clothes. We are avoided the cliché of attaching an object that illustrates a human figure. We worked with bubbles which are elements that are often used in laundry depictions of all kinds. We also integrated the “washing machine” into the letter “a”.  The brand’s colors gave us a difficult time. From the onset, we intended to work with the color sky-blue #2d9bd0 (a corporate and warm color), but we still needed a contrasting color to create balance. Red and orange were the first suspects but orange came through. Orange struck as a color of power and strength and also had its unique warmth. We also worked with aqua green

For the website, We decided that the best experience for users to have was something, colorful and fully responsive. We used multiple shades of blue for different sections of the site. For the clothing’s representation, we use sky blue for male clothes, orange for female clothes and aqua green for items that were neither female nor male.
